| Encelimab, which is a humanized form of IgG4, specifically targets the inhibitory receptor lymphocyte activation gene 3 protein (LAG3 or LAG-3). This antibody has the potential to inhibit immune checkpoint activity and act as an antineoplastic agent. When administered, encelimab binds to LAG3 present on tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and prevents its interaction with major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules expressed on tumor cells. |
