Synthetic peptide corresponding to 16aa, KRFQHVIETPEPGK -C, from near the N-terminus of GCKR. Species Sequence Homology: human
GCKR belongs to the SIS (Sugar ISomerase) family of proteins. The gene product is a regulatory protein that inhibits glucokinase in liver and pancreatic islet cells by binding non-covalently to form an inactive complex with the enzyme. The GCKR gene is considered a susceptibility gene candidate for a form of maturity-onset diabetes of the young (MODY). Applications: Suitable for use in Peptide ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA: 1:8000 Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Rat Liver Tissue Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C.
