Immunogen:
A peptide corresponding to amino acids at the carboxy terminus of human IRAK4.
IRAK4 has a molecular weight of 50kD, and is an important mediator in the signal transduction of Toll-like receptor (TLR) and interleukin-1 (IL-1) receptor family members. IRAK4 functions in this signal transduction pathway by binding to the IL-1 type I receptor following IL-1 engagement, triggering intracellular signalling cascades leading to transcriptional up-regulation and mRNA stabilization. IRAK4 is a key activator of TLR-mediated signal transductions and has crucial roles in innate immune responses. It is expressed by the liver, kidneys and skeletal muscle. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml ~50kD in HeLa cell lysates. Immunohistochemistry Frozen: 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
