A peptide corresponding to amino acids at the carboxy terminus of human IRAK4.
IRAK4 has a molecular weight of 50kD, and is an important mediator in the signal transduction of Toll-like receptor (TLR) and interleukin-1 (IL-1) receptor family members. IRAK4 functions in this signal transduction pathway by binding to the IL-1 type I receptor following IL-1 engagement, triggering intracellular signalling cascades leading to transcriptional up-regulation and mRNA stabilization. IRAK4 is a key activator of TLR-mediated signal transductions and has crucial roles in innate immune responses. It is expressed by the liver, kidneys and skeletal muscle. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml ~50kD in HeLa cell lysates. Immunohistochemistry Frozen: 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
