Raised against a peptide (CSSKFSWDEYEQYKKE) corresponding to amino acids 581 to 596 of human IRAK-M (3).
Interleukin-1 (IL-1) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induces cellular response through IL-1 receptor (IL-1R) and Toll like receptors (TLR). IL-1 receptor-associated kinase (IRAK and IRAK2) mediates the activation of NF-kB by IL-1/Toll receptors (1,2), which is a pivotal transcription factor mediating inammatory and immune response. A novel member in the IRAK/Pelle family was recently identified and designated IRAK-M(3). IRAKs associate with IL-1/Toll receptors after IL-1 or LPS stimulation and the dominant negative mutants of IRAKs inhibit IL-1 or LPS induced NF-kB activation. Members in IRAK/Pelle family play a central role in IL-1R/TLR mediated inammatory responses to cytokine IL-1 and LPS. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Mouse spleen or rat kidney tissue lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
