Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ala1083 of human SHIP2
SHIP1 (SH2-containing inositol phosphatase) is a member of the inositol polyphosphate-5- phosphatase (INPP5) family and contains an N-terminal SH2 domain, an inositol phosphatase domain, and two C-terminal protein interaction domains. SHIP2, a homolog of SHIP1, is highly expressed in heart, skeletal muscle and placenta. SHIP2 negatively regulates insulin signaling and polymorphisms in SHIP2 have been linked to hyperglycemia. Recent studies also suggest SHIP2 as a therapeutic target for the treatment of both obesity and type 2 diabetes. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
