Synthetic peptide (EETAKKVRRAIEQLAAMD) corresponding to aa125-142 of human Survivin
Survivin is a 16kD apoptosis inhibitor protein (IAP). It binds and inhibits the caspase-3 proteolytic activity and controls the checkpoint in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle to promote cell division by the control of microtubule stability and assembly of a normal mitotic spindle. Survivin is highly expressed during fetal development, transformed cell lines, human cancers and non-Hodgkins lymphomas. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:50 Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
