SWC8 is expressed by granulocytes, B cells, a subset of T cells and by some non-haematopoietic cells. Monocytes however do not express SWC8. Has been used in two color flow cytometry with 227403 to distinguish between monocytes and granulocytes (Haverson et al. 1994). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Neat, 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: P3X63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
