Synthetic peptide (ASKGKNKAA) corresponding to aa911-919 of human Synphilin-1
Synphilin-1 is a cytoplasmatic protein that interacts with Alpha-Synuclein in neurons, and plays an important role in synaptic function, protein degradation and Lewy body formation. Mutation of this protein has a role in the formation of aggregates and cytotoxicity in Parkinsons desease by defective ubiquitination and /or proteosomal inhibition. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
