TAB3, a member of RNA polymerase beta chain family is a 712aa, intracellular protein that acts as adaptors linking TAK1 binding proteins. This protein is known to function redundantly as mediator of TAK1 activation in response to various stimuli and is critical for both IL-1 and TNF-induced activation of the NF-kB signal transduction pathway. When overexpressed, TAB3 activates both NF-kB and AP-1 transcription factors. When stimulated by the pro-inflammatory cytokines, protein kinase MAP3K7:TAK1 and either TRAF2 or TRAF6 complexes with TAB1 and TAB2 or with TAB1 and TAB3 to yield two distinct complex. It is also known to function as DNA-dependent RNA polymerase catalyzing the transcription of DNA into RNA. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human kidney lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
