Human Talin-1
Talin-1 is a high molecular weight cytoskeletal protein, linking vinculin to the integrins, thereby linking the cytoskeleton to the extracellular matrix. It is specifically found in regions of cell-substratum contact and in lymphocytes at cell-cell contact points. Talin-1 plays a role in the assembly of actin filaments and in the migration of cells such as osteoclasts and fibroblasts. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation, Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:125-1:200 Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose. Immunofluorescence: Requires fixation and permeabilisation using methanol. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
