Thyroxine (T4) a thyroid hormone exerts a potent influence on the basal metabolic rate. Synthesized from the tyrosine residues of thyroglobin and is found in the serum of normal individuals. The L-form is twice as active physiologically as a racemic product, the D-form has very little activity. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma:: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Allophycocyanin (APC) is light sensitive. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
