TP53INP2/DOR is a scaffold protein that recruits LC3 and/or LC3-related proteins to the autophagosome membrane by interacting with the transmembrane protein VMP1. TP53INP2 translocates from the nucleus to the autophagosome structures after activation of autophagy by rapamycin or starvation. TP53INP2 is necessary for autophagosome development because its small interfering RNA-mediated knockdown strongly decreases sensitivity of mammalian cells to autophagy. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Indirect Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Indirect Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 Western Blot: 1:100-1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
