Peptide mapping at the C-terminal end of TIMP-2 of human origin, identical to the related rat and mouse sequence.
TIMP2 gene is encoded by 5 exons spanning 83kb of genomic DNA. TIMP2 is 83kb long with exon-intron splicing sites located in preserved positions among the three members of the TIMP family. The gene for tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-2 is localized on human chromosome arm 17q25. TIMP-2 abrogates angiogenic factor-induced endothelial cell proliferation in vitro and angiogenesis in vivo independent of MMP inhibition. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot:1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
