Ulex europaeus agglutinin I binds to many glycoproteins and glycolipids containing alpha-linked fucose residues, such as ABO blood group glycoconjugates. This lectin preferentially binds blood group O cells and has been used to determine secretor status. It has been established as an excellent marker for human endothelial cells. Biotinylated Ulex europaeus agglutinin has an appropriate number of biotins bound to provide the optimum staining characteristics for this lectin. This conjugate is supplied essentially free of unconjugated biotins and is preserved with sodium azide. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: All applications: ~5-20ug Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Sugar Specificity: Fucose, Arabinose Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Formulierung: Supplied as a powder from 10mM HEPES, pH 7.5, 0.15M sodium chloride, 0.08% sodium azide, 0.1mM Ca++. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile dH2O. Labeled with Biotin.
