This cytokine is produced by activated macrophages as a proprotein, which is proteolytically processed to its active form by caspase 1. Western blot analysis of various lysates using IL1beta Rabbit mAb (A27676) at 1:4000 dilutionincubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.
