Immunogen:
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the C terminal region of human ST3GAL2
Alternative Names:
SIAT4B, ST3GALII, Gal-NAc6S, ST3GalA.2
ST3GAL2 is a type II membrane protein that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to galactose-containing substrates. The protein is normally found in the Golgi but can be proteolytically processed to a soluble form. This protein, which is a member of glycosyltransferase family 29, can use the same acceptor substrates as does sialyltransferase 4A.The protein encoded by this gene is a type II membrane protein that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to galactose-containing substrates. 25 ug of the indicated whole cell extracts was loaded onto a 12% SDS-PAGE gel. 3 ug/mL of the antibody was used in this experiment. Recommended dilution for antibody is 1-3 ug/mL.
