The ChIP-Grade Protein G Agarose Beads are a high-quality affinity matrix specifically designed for the efficient, small-scale isolation of immunocomplexes in Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays. These beads feature a truncated recombinant Protein G covalently linked to agarose, offering strong affinity for IgG subclasses from a wide range of species including human, rabbit, mouse, rat, and sheep, making them ideal for diverse immunoprecipitation applications. To minimize non-specific binding of proteins and DNA during immunocomplex isolation, the beads are supplied in a buffer containing BSA and sonicated salmon sperm DNA. However, its important to note that due to the presence of sonicated salmon sperm DNA, these beads are not recommended for downstream ChIP-seq applications.
