Pancreatic hormone is synthesized in pancreatic islets of Langerhans and acts as a regulator of pancreatic and gastrointestinal functions. The physiological role for the icosapeptide has not yet been elucidated. Applications: Suitable for use in Peptide ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA: 1:32,000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 3ug/ml shows strong cytoplasmic staining of rare cells located at the periphery of islets of Langerhans. Heat induced antigen retrieval in citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is required. Flow Cytometry: 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human pancreas tissue lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
