CD54 cell surface antigen, also known as intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), is a 90kD adhesion molecule belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. The rat ICAM-1 molecule has an important role in various cell-cell interactions in the immune system. IP analysis shows that the antigen has the same features as human ICAM-1. In addition, recent studies suggest that cross-linking of ICAM-1 induces calcium signalling. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Neat, 1:25-1:50. Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul. Immunohistochemistry: frozen Optimal dilution determined by the researcher Hybridoma: Spleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice were fused with cells from the PAI mouse myeloma cell line.
