The estimated concentration of an individual Myeloma protein may vary considerably depending on the assay method used. Myeloma protein concentration is therefore measured by radial immunodiffusion and optical density (A280nm). Applications: Suitable for use as a reference antigen, calibrator, coating protein and blocking agent in Immunodiffusion, Immunoelectrophoresis, ELISA, Western Blot, Dot-immunoblot assays (DIBA), haemagglutination and cell-binding assays. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at 4C. Do not freeze. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at 4C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Purity:
98%. Purified by Gel filtration, Ion-exchange and affinity chromatography.
