Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to RWQKCVDCNGSYFD, from human SETMAR, at C-terminal (NP_006506.3).
Histone methyltransferase that methylates Lys-4 and Lys-36 of histone H3, 2 specific tags for epigenetic transcriptional activation. Specifically mediates dimethylation of H3 Lys-36. Has sequence-specific DNA-binding activity and recognizes the 19-mer core of the 5-terminal inverted repeats (TIRs) of the Hsmar1 element. Has DNA nicking activity. Has in vivo end joining activity and may mediate genomic integration of foreign DNA. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:16,000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, Daudi lysate observed on ~70-75kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
