Bacterially produced recombinant protein corresponding to human SIT, intracellular fragment.
SIT (SHP2-interacting transmembrane adaptor protein) is expressed exclusively in lymphoid organs and acts either as a positive or as a negative regulatory element in T cell activation and in T cell development. Binding to Grb2 plays a pivotal role in signal transduction. Hubener et al. (2001) determined that the SIT gene contains 5 exons and spans 1.8 kb of genomic DNA. The SIT promoter demonstrated strong transcriptional activity and potential binding sites for both ubiquitous and lymphoid-specific transcription factors. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1-5ug/ml with intracellular staining. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
