Adapter protein involved in invadopodia and podosome formation, extracellular matrix degradation and invasiveness of some cancer cells. Binds matrix metalloproteinases (ADAMs), NADPH oxidases (NOXs) and phosphoinositides. Acts as an organizer protein that allows NOX1- or NOX3-dependent reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation and ROS localization. In association with ADAM12, mediates the neurotoxic effect of beta-amyloid peptide. Applications: Suitable for use in Peptide ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 3-6ug/ml. In paraffin embedded Human Liver shows strong vesicular staining in the cytoplasm of hepatocytes. Peptide ELISA: 1:16000. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
