Recombinant full length human Survivin. Epitope: aa 1- 99. Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic. Species sequence homology: rat (98%)
Survivin, a new inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) protein, is expressed in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle in a cycle-regulated manner. At the beginning of mitosis, survivin associates with microtubules of the mitotic spindle in a specific and saturable reaction that is regulated by microtubule dynamics. Disruption of survivin-microtubule interactions results in loss of survivin. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence, Immunocytochemistry, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Not suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:50-1:100 Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:100 for 30 minutes at RT. Requires boiling tissue in 10mM citrate buffer for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 10-20 minutes. Flow Cytometry: 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HeLa cells Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
