Recombinant protein encompassing an N-terminal region of the human Survivin protein.
MaxLight(TM) 650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor(TM)647, DyLight(TM)649, Cy5(TM) and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm), Emission (676nm), Extinction Coefficient 250,000. Survivin, a member of the inhibitors of apoptosis protein (IAP) family, acts as both an anti-apoptosis and a pro-survival factor. Survivin also mediates embryonic submandibular gland epithelial cell survival. It is prominently expressed in embryonic tissues, overexpressed in nearly all common human cancers, and relatively undetectable in normal human tissue. Survivin is involved in cell proliferation, and also interacts with cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (cdk4). Survivin has been implicated in the regulation of cell cycle regulation, and is also highly expressed during G2/M phases of the cell cycle, downregulated in G1 phase, and localized to the mitotic spindle. Survivin overexpression correlates with tumor progression, and has been shown to be a poor prognostic factor in a variety of solid tumors, including colorectal cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, lung adenocarcinoma, and esophageal cancer. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and FLISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Western Blot: HEK 293 and HeLa cell lysates. Immunoprecipitation: HEK 293 cell extracts Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight(TM)650 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
