Crude synaptic preparation from a post-mortem human brain.
Syntaxin is membrane integrated Q-SNARE protein participating in exocytosis. Syntaxin is composed of an N-terminal regulatory domain (Habc), a SNARE domain (known as H3), and a single C-terminal transmembrane domain. The SNARE(H3) domain binds to both synaptobrevin and SNAP-25 forming the core SNARE complex. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 0.5-5ug/ml Western Blot: 1-5ug/ml Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
