Syntaxin 1B/STX1B is an ~33kD member of the Syntaxin family. It is a single-pass type IV transmembrane protein that is potentially involved in the docking of synaptic vesicles at presynaptic active zones. The cytoplasmic domain of Syntaxin 1B contains a coiled-coil Syntaxin domain aa29-180 which is implicated in the docking of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic plasma membrane and a t-SNARE coiled coil domain aa191-253. Within the cytoplasmic domain, human Syntaxin 1B shares 100% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat Syntaxin 1B. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C.
