Transforming acidic coiled-coil containing protein 3 (TACC3, also know as ERIC-1) is a 92-140kD member of the TACC family of transcriptional regulatory proteins. It is expressed in a variety of cell types, including Sertoli cells, endothelial cells, erythroid progenitors, and thyroid epithelium. When phosphorylated by Aurora A on Ser558, it stabilizes the mitotic spindle. It also interacts with nuclear histone acetyltransferases, promoting their positive effect on transcription. Human TACC3 is 838 amino acids in length and contains one poly-Serine region (aa155-160) and a TACC coiled-coil domain (aa637-837). There is one potential splice variant that shows a Lys substitution for aa102-462. Applications: Suitable for use in Simple Western and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml using Jurkat human acute T cel leukemia cell line and K562 human chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line. Simple Western: 10ug/ml using Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia line and K562 human chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
