Immunogen: Synthetic peptides made to the human TAZ protein. These peptides were selected for the lack of homology to YAP protein.
TAZ is YAP-related protein that contains a WW domain and transcriptional activation region. The gene plays a role in mesenchymal stem cell differentiation. The antibody was designed in such a way that should generate a TAZ specific-reagent able to differentiate between YAP and TAZ proteins in cells and tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HEK 293 lysate and kidney tissue lysate Cellular Localization: Nuclear and cytoplasmic. Concentrates along specific portions of the plasma membrane, and accumulates in punctate nuclear bodies. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Purity: Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Form: PBS, 15% glycerol
