Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa44-59 (GSAGPLQCYGVGPLGD) of human TCCR precursor (1).
Upon antigen challenge, T-helper cells differentiate into two functional distinct subsets, Th1 and Th2. Th1 cells produce IL-2, IFN-g and lymphotoxin-b that augment cell mediated immune response while Th2 cells secrete IL-4, IL-5, and IL-10 that enhance humoral immunity. The function of T-helper cells is regulated by cytokines. A novel cytokine receptor was recently identified and cloned (1,2). It is a new member in the type I cytokine receptor family and designated TCCR for T-cell cytokine receptor and WSX-1 (1,2). TCCR deficient mice had impaired Th1 responses to protein antigen challenge, including decreased levels of IFN-g and Th1-dependent antibody IgG2a (1). TCCR is predominately expressed in thymus, spleen, lymph notes and peripheral blood leukocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Human spleen tissue lysate can be used as positive control Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Purity: Immunoaffinity purified IgG
Form: Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.02% sodium azide.
