Recombinant corresponding to mouse TSPAN8 expressed in CHO cells.
Tetraspanin-8 (TSPAN8), is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily. It is a cell surface 27-34kD protein with 4 transmembrane segments, and a large extracellular loop (LEL) domain from aa106-206. Both the N- and C-termini are intracellular. The protein is involved in cell motility, metastasis, cell proliferation and differentiation, and is over-expressed in different carcinomas, including hepatocellular carcinoma and colon cancer. Human Tetraspanin-8 shares 70aa sequence identity with both mouse and rat TSPAN8. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Myeloma cells with B cells from Balb/c mice. Absorption: 620-650nm Emission: 660-670nm Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. APC is light sensitive.
