Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to human Tie-2 Y1102 site.
Tie2 (also known as TEK) is an angiogenic receptor tyrosine kinase required for the later stage of blood vessel maturation. Ligand binding induces receptor dimerization and autophosphorylation on multiple tyrosine residues. Phosphorylation of Tie2 at Y1102 results in the activation of PI 3-kinase. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 5-15ug/ml detected Tie2 in immersion fixed paraffin embedded sections of mouse embryonic brain and human placenta. Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
