Purified apo-protein of human tissue factor (47kD).
Tissue factor (TF) is the membrane receptor for coagulation factors VII and VIIa and is a cell-surface initiator of coagulation. It is the major molecule of this type and is critical for controlling hemostasis, thrombosis, and inflammation. TF is not generally present in or on cells within the vasculature, but following vascular injury, blood can come into contact with TF expressed by extravascular cells, resulting in activation of the coagulation cascade. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Western Blot, though not tested, may potentially be used as an application. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:10,000-100,000 Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml (chemiluminescence) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
