Also known as lipoprotein-associated coagulation inhibitor (LACI) and extrinsic pathway inhibitor (EPI), TFPI is a physiological inhibitor of extrinsic pathway of coagulation and has biological functions of anticoagulation and anti-inflammation. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse TFPI. Using a colorimetric detection system, the detection limit is ~10 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions. Use of this antibody under reducing conditions is not recommended. Chemiluminescent detection will increase sensitivity by 5 to 50 fold. Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse TFPI. The detection limit is ~1ng/well. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a rat immunized with purified, NS0-derived, recombinant mouse tissue factor pathway inhibitor (Accession NP_035706, aa 29-289). Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile buffer. Aliquot and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
