| TIMPs (Tissue Inhibitors of MetalloProteinases) form tight inhibitory complexes with MMPs which are involved in matrix degradation and hence, in tumor invasiveness and metastasis. TIMPs inhibit the proteolytic invasiveness of tumor cells and normal placental trophoblast cells which is indicative of their therapeutical potential in treating invasive and metastatic cancers. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 10ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
