Full-length purified human Siglec-1(d1-4)Fc protein. Cellular Localization: Isoform 1: cell membrane, Single-pass type-1 membrane protein, Isoform2: secreted. Species Sequence Homology: porcine, virus, and mouse.
The siglecs are a family of membrane bound lectins (of the immunoglobulin superfamily) that bind sialic acid and mediate cell-cell interactions. Family members include sialoadhesin, CD22 and CD33. Sialoadhesin is a macrophage-specific cell adhesion molecule that is expressed on activated macrophages in chronic inflammation and in tumors. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, RIA, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
